A quiet accounting of those who served —
and those who did not return.
The front declares. The rear holds a structure not fully visible at first encounter. What the garment contains is not entirely announced.

Fig. CEN-250-002 is a commemorative experiential garment produced in recognition of the 250th anniversary of the United States.
Constructed around themes of service, absence, and remembrance, the piece uses restrained typography and embedded memorial architecture to acknowledge the scale of national sacrifice across 250 years of American history.
The front reads: Millions Served. Many Did Not Return.
The rear carries a designation — UNITED STATES 250 Years — rendered through structural elements not fully visible at standard viewing distance. The garment contains visible and non-visible components. Both are intentional.
Some memorials attempt to describe loss. Others acknowledge its scale and stop there.
EN-250-002 was designed to remain quiet. It avoids overt patriotic graphics, conflict imagery, and historical timelines in favor of reduction: a statement, a nation, a date.
As with many Enigma objects, meaning reveals itself unevenly. Some signals are visible at first glance. Others emerge only through attention.
Certain aspects of this piece are intentionally left unexplained.
Part of what EN-250-002 offers is the experience of noticing — encountering structure gradually rather than receiving it all at once.
